Andy Walker

Hello! I am an artist and online art teacher, living in Andalucia in southern Spain. I love the experience and the challenge of painting outdoors when the weather permits (sometimes it’s just too hot!) and also working in the comfort of the studio. I began in watercolours, but later moved on to paint in water mixable oils, which are better for the environment and easier to transport around than traditional oil paints. I also sketch en plein air in gouache.

I write for the Leisure Painter magazine and have been a tutor on a number of painting holidays in the UK, Spain, and Portugal. I have taught adult painting classes, and I exhibit in solo and joint exhibitions. Since 2005 I have been teaching art online.

I am a Brand ambassador for the Portable Painter palette, and I also have designed a number of painting easels and pochade boxes.

¡Hola! Soy artista y profesor de arte online. Vivo en Andalucía, en el sur de España. Me encanta la experiencia y el reto de pintar al aire libre cuando el tiempo lo permite (¡a veces hace demasiado calor!) y también trabajar en la comodidad del estudio. Empecé a pintar con acuarelas, pero más tarde me pasé a los óleos mezclables con agua, más respetuosos con el medio ambiente y más fáciles de transportar que los óleos tradicionales. También dibujo al aire libre con témpera.

Escribo para la revista Leisure Painter y doy cursos de pintura en el Reino Unido, España y Portugal. He dado clases de pintura para adultos y participo en exposiciones individuales y colectivas.
